The woman behind
the work.

"Healing is not a destination. It is a practice. And Black women deserve to practice it without apology."
Dr. JaQuinda Jackson, Ed.D, NCC, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, published author, and speaker based in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She is the founder of Jackson Consultings, LLC and the creator of the Purposeful Self Work framework.

She specializes in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and is deeply committed to addressing the mental health disparities that affect Black women.
She is the author of Healing the Strong Black Woman: Purposeful Self Work, and she writes weekly for her Substack community Purposeful Self-Work Substack. Dr. Jackson also serves athletes and high-performers through her mental performance and wellness services.
Clinically trained. Culturally grounded.
"Black women have held the world on their backs. This space is about putting it down — resting, remembering, and rising as your whole self."
